Information accessed and use

With the Google account holder's authorization, Home Integration accesses the Google Nest devices selected during consent. Depending on device capabilities, this may include device identifiers, names, room information, supported traits, status, settings, and events. Supported controls may be used through Home Assistant. Pub/Sub topics and subscriptions carry device events. Data is used to display device state and support personal home automation.

Storage and processing

The private Home Assistant environment stores integration configuration and authorization tokens. Device information may be retained in Home Assistant history, logs, and backups, depending on its configured settings. No fixed automatic deletion period is promised by this policy. Google processes authorization, device API requests, and Pub/Sub events as part of providing those services.

Sharing and public website

Device information is available to authorized users of the private Home Assistant installation and services configured by its operator. This public site receives no device information or authorization tokens. If additional integrations or processing providers are introduced, their use should be disclosed to participating account holders before sharing data.

The public website has no login, forms, advertising, or analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site and may process IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Security and choices

Credentials are stored in the private Home Assistant environment and are not published here. No system guarantees absolute security. Do not send passwords or OAuth tokens to the support address.

You can remove Google authorization through Google Account connections and disconnect the integration in Home Assistant. Revoking access stops future authorized API access but does not automatically delete history, logs, or backups. Contact the operator to request removal of stored data or change access. Requests may require proof that you control the affected account.
